Description

Oil pan swap kit for fitting V8 S62 M60 M62 to BMW e36 e46 or Z3

Custom oil pan kit.

Allows an engine swap for V8 S62 M60 M62 in BMW e36 e46 and Z3 .

The crankcase is also used in the BMW e30 to move the 20 cm engine.

The kit is made of steel and laser -cut . This makes it tight , strong, and reliable. Furthermore, the welds are performed with high precision by a certified technician.

The kit allows you to install the V8 without modifying the hood . From the outside, your car will maintain its original appearance. Furthermore, our oil pan will still provide enough space to install the supercharger .

The kit includes:

  • Carter for e36 e46 z3
  • Engine mounts
  • Universal components for mounting BMW V8 or R6 M50/M52/M54/M57 gearboxes
  • metal elements to modify the beam
  • spacers between beam and chassis
  • brackets for mounting the oil pump
  • parts for modifying the oil pump

If you are installing an S62, you need to purchase the M60/M62 oil pump separately.

The elements are painted black with powder coating.

Assembly instructions:

FACILITY:

Recommended parts to facilitate engine installation in the body

  • Before lifting the BMW X5 4.4i exhaust manifold, a special one must be fitted to the left of the driver's side, part number 11627500484. It requires no modification. The original M60/M62 manifold must be cut to allow space for the steering column rod.
  • The TDS engine propeller fan is lower and mounts easily between the engine and radiator; the front-mounted BMW E38 climate control radiator fan can also be used.
  • E34 M50 engine mount made with the best acentric polyurethane, we have it on offer, 60mm height for the standard engine and gearbox
  • The front stabilizer for the R4 version of the engines is simple: rotate the stabilizer seal hole 180 degrees to the right and combine it with the side bracket to weld it in a new location.

Some versions of the front wheel need to be modified by removing material from the rear.

STEP 1 - We move to the other side of the stabilizer, including the seals, drill the brackets to rotate it back and weld it to the spars in the new position. We recommend the R4 motor stabilizer; it's simple.

STEP 2 - We recommend making a notch in the chassis to gain additional space for the oil hoses. This is only necessary for alternators with a water-cooling system.

If your car has climate control, the body frame will need to be modified to create space for the air conditioning pump. The original bracket will also need to be modified.

STEP 3 - A After installing the engine feet and a bowl, we mount the engine on the foot pads and the provided shims. We determine its position in the engine compartment and weld to the supplied sheet metal beam between the engine and the chassis beam. We fit the included sleeves, lowering the beam so that the engine with the cover falls under the hood. We recommend that you put washers between the nuts, bolts, and nuts so that the nut protrudes above and is not a problem with its disassembly in the future.

STEP 4 - Notes. We also offer an oil filter relocation plate with standard oil hose plugs for easy installation.

STEP 5

STEP 6 : Mount the oil pan to the engine and then the oil pump with the T-fitting. Remember to use the Victor Reinz seal. All O-rings should be brushed with engine oil to facilitate installation.

STEP 7 - Mount the chain with gears onto the pump shaft. If you cannot mount a foot pump with frame brackets, lightly sand it. Refer to the oil pump modification manual.
